Kaiju Over Coachella

Kaiju is the Japanese term used to describe giant movie monsters. Over the years, we have seen these cinematic behemoths like Godzilla and King Kong tower over and destroy major cities. In my piece, I place these creatures over the Coachella mountains in a dreamlike sunset. Using a mix of realism and stylized comic illustrations, I've mixed fantasy and reality similar to how these Kaiju films attract massive audiences all over the world.
